The Huntsmen Tank belongs to a rugged and reliable class of Living Machines. Designed for long-range reconnaissance, scouting, and operations behind enemy lines, these machines are commonly deployed in hostile or isolated regions. One of the most noticeable differences between Huntsmen Tanks and higher ranked Living Machines is the lack of an exterior mouth, a feature that appears to define the upper class of their society. Because of this, Huntsmen units sit on the lower end of the mechanical social hierarchy and are often viewed as capable, yet incomplete.

Compared to more sophisticated and expensive Living Machine units developed with higher quality resources, Huntsmen Tanks are considered practical workhorses rather than elite war machines. Despite their lower status, intelligence reports suggest these machines are essential to the survival and expansion of their civilization.

Their reinforced medium chassis features powerful articulated limbs designed for leaping across gaps, traversing rough terrain, and climbing rocky mountain slopes with remarkable agility. Multiple maintenance hatches and access panels are located throughout the body, allowing for rapid field repairs under limited conditions. Huntsmen units are capable of performing much of their own maintenance if they cannot afford repairs at their designated base facilities or in the field.

Huntsmen Tanks are frequently deployed to patrol trade routes, monitor mountain passes, and report hostile activity throughout surrounding territories. Reports indicate these machines earn and exchange heavy stamped coins used as currency, though the exact material composition and internal purpose of these coins remain unknown as of 15/05/2026. Intelligence suggests the currency is primarily used for purchasing maintenance supplies, industrial chemicals, fuel, tools, organic nutrient paste, and various repair services.

Field reports have also documented multiple Huntsmen variants equipped with non standard upgrades and modifications not present in standard manufacturing models. Analysts believe these upgrades may be awarded after the completion of dangerous assignments such as deep infiltration missions, ancient relic recovery, border defence operations, or other high risk objectives.
